In March of 2005 the Arash AF-10 began its life as drawings by Arash Farboud Designs. In four years it has evolved from one man’s dream into a Herculean supercar.

The Arash AF-10 features a lightweight and strong Modular Carbon Chassis, built by bonding 13 parts into a jig at temperature. Weighing in at only 216 pounds, the carbon tub connects to steel substructures at the front and rear of the car, contributing to the Arash AF-10’s superior crash safety. To create an optimal weight distribution, the fuel tanks have been placed in rear chassis pontoons. Underneath the chassis, triple galleries provide neat organization of pipes and brake lines and blocks heat from entering the cabin.

Forming an exotic and agile shape is bodywork fabricated using 100% carbon construction with aluminum honeycomb and nomex panels. Using the carbon autoclave process excess resin is removed by pressure and heat, creating lighter and stiffer parts. Laminated glass adorns the front and side windows, while the rear and driver-to-engine compartment windows are made of scratch resistant and shatterproof plastic.

At the core of the Arash AF-10 is one of the most powerful American engines, the General Motors LS7. Displacing seven liters the mighty LS7 V-8 produces an adrenaline-pumping 550 bhp and 409 lb-ft. of torque, sending the AF-10 to 60 mph in just 3.2 seconds. A Graziano six-speed manual transmission sends all 550 roaring ponies to the rear wheels. The LS7 will be hand-built by General Motors in Michigan, and feature titanium connecting rods, forged pistons and crankshaft, and dry sump oil cooling.

A low center of gravity and advanced suspension setup allows the Arash AF-10 to stay cemented to the tarmac. Hand-made and coated in nickel, the front wishbones are super long to allow for a greater path of the wheels during hard cornering. A hand-made integrated roll cage stiffens the chassis like a bottle of Viagra and offers protection from crashes and rollovers.

Stopping the 205 mph monster are Carbon ventilated Ceramic Discs, operated by floor-mounted pedals. Massive front 308mm front discs with eight piston calipers, and 362 mm discs with six piston calipers at the rear provide phenomenal braking performance. Two-piece, lightweight aluminum wheels contribute to the AF-10’s low weight of just 2,645 pounds. Measuring 19×9.5 inches front and 20×12.5 inches rear, the aluminum wheels are dressed in 265/35ZR19 front and 335/30ZR20 rear Michelin Pilot wheels, ensuring optimum wet and dry traction.

The Arash AF-10 will be available in three exhilarating trims: the 550 bhp AF-10 for £320,000, the 800 bhp AF-10S for £450,000, and the diabolical AF-10 Special Edition producing a colossal 1200 bhp for £1.3 million.
